| Western Approach: Take Route 34 East over Trail Ridge Road through Rocky Mountain National Park. Continue on Route 34 out of the park and through the town of Estes Park following signs for Loveland. On your right you will see Lake Estes and on the left will be the Sombrero Stables. Turn left at the stables onto Dry Gulch Road. Proceed approximately 1.1 miles to Stone Gate Dr. Turn West one block to Ptarmigan Trail. |
| Eastern Approach: Take Rt. 34 West out of Loveland. As you approach Estes Park you will see Lake Estes to the South and Sombrero Stables on the North. Turn right at the stables onto Dry Gulch Road. Proceed approximately 1.1 miles to Stone Gate Dr. Turn West one block to Ptarmigan Trail. |
| Route 36 Lyons Approach: Take Route 36 North to Route 34. Head East following the signs for Loveland. On your right you will see Lake Estes and on the left will be the Sombrero Stables.
